    Bio:

  • Touchphonics is a heavy hitting Dj/Producer/Engineer. Originally hailing from the Northeast, he now claims San Francisco, CA. as home. Starting off in punk and metal bands throughout his youth, Touchphonics has always had a passion for music and individualism. Heavily influenced by hip hop and many electronic forms, he put down his guitar and taught himself to scratch and mix records. He studied recording and production, along with interning at a professional recording studio. At the same time he began the infamous Three Amigo's turntablism sessions with E-train and Framework. They later formed The Loyalists, which Touchphonics would dj, co-produce, and engineer for. The Loyalists would go on to indepentently put out three records as well as perform with many notable acts such as KRS-One, Black Eyed Peas, Funkdoobiest, Wordsworth, and Jedi Mind Tricks.

  • After years on the east coast Touchphonics decided to relocate to San Francisco. His interest in drum and bass had been on the rise and he opted to play a more behind the scenes role for The Loyalists as solely an engineer and producer. This allowed him to focus fully on his DnB productions and djing. Getting steady bookings throughout the SF drum and bass scene and beyond, he has played at events such as Love Parade, Shelter, In2It, Urban Drums, Trauma, Primitive Science, Fsound, Burning Man, Ultra Music Festival, Koncrete Jungle/Mash up Miami, and Whiplash.

  • Always maintaining the "Independent as Fuck" ethos Touchphonics has now embarked on his own imprint, Elevated Press Records. It will be the main output for his drum and bass productions, as well as collaborations through all forms of break-beat, hip hop, turntablism, and dubstep. Along side the label is his newly established residency at Shelter, the legendary Tuesday night drum and bass staple, in the heart of San Francisco. Touchphonics is a hard working determined artist who has never been afraid to take on new ventures and to follow the path that music continues to lay out for him. Be on the look for this fresh new talent.
